Inspired by God's beautiful and delicate flower creation the Ranunculus. This unique foreboding yet powerful abstract portrait was created from a natural light photo taken of several Ranunculus in New York City's flower district one early spring morning several years ago. I could see from the very first photo taken that this flower would be my muse and serve to inspire more floral portraits to abstract portraits later on. The Watcher Imperial Hi Blue Limited Edition X is the 10th iteration in my refining process creating this piece.
What it symbolizes: The Watcher is a reference to the Bible in which "Watchers" an angelic class of beings left their heavenly posts coming down to earth seeing the beauty in the daughters of man, rebelling against their God given purpose, they took wives for themselves of these daughters of men, taught secret knowledge and bred into the earth a hybrid class of beings that were giants called the Nephilim. They brought extreme wickedness and violence to the earth. This grieved the most high God so much that he destroyed the earth by way of a great flood saving only Noah and his descendants along with certain animals to repopulate the earth.
This portrait is a small peek into that biblical window in time. Add this unique artwork to your collection and spark a conversation about the divine and heavenly realms.
This portrait is reproduced as a giclee fine art print in 2 sizes. 30 x 30 inch or 20 x 20 inches on Hahnmuhle paper. Each giclee fine art print will come with a certificate of authenticity. We are currently offering free shipping on this item.
