In a departure from my usual floral inspirations 3rd Ear Africa was inspired by one of my DSLR camera lenses while taking photos and experimenting with software.  3rd Ear Africa became the result of that early exploration into my artistic expression.  The visual representation of hearing the spiritual call back to my ancestral roots in Ghana, West Africa made this abstract resonate profoundly within me.  It represents the spiritual 3rd ear to hear not just the call of culture and ancestry but more importantly, spiritually the word of the most high God.
The colors present in this portrait are representative of the Ghanaian flag. 
 
Green representing the rich vibrant forests and lands of Ghana, Yellow for the wealth of the nation, Red for the blood of the ancestors shed in the fight for freedom and independence, and Black for the lodestar representing the people and their power.  Interestingly enough these same colors are also present in the flag colors of my mother's native country of Guyana.   Go on and set your walls apart with this classic one of a kind flagship piece.  At Steve Dzaba Images it's more than art its a spiritual journey.
