This abstract is the next iteration from the original and is a more refined version as my artistic journey continued. Originally inspired from a basket of squash I created the Pupil & Iris and then followed it up with several limited edition iterations. The Pupil & Iris Green Flashlight Vignette is one of those limited edition iterations. What it represents is a multiple of things. Firstly, it is a look inwardly at the flesh, heart & mind of mankind. It is written in the bible that the thoughts of mankind were evil continually and that it grieved the most high God that he created us because of our wickedness. Sin & death entered the perfect world God created when Adam &
Eve fell. Having disobeyed God and eaten of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, mankind was separated from God due to sin. The wages of sin are death. When I look at this abstract I see ominous things represented within the image of the pupil & iris. What can you see?
